MOVEMENT · EDGES · PLAY
Vinyasa
Breath-led flow with clear, precise sequencing. Strength is part of it, and so is exploring where your edges are and how your body moves through space.
Vinyasa · Restorative Yin · Yoga Nidra
I'm Cristal. I teach yoga for body intelligence. My classes move between strong, playful vinyasa, restorative yin and yoga nidra, so you learn to feel more, notice more and move with intention.
Yoga that works with the body you have, building strength and resilience through body intelligence.

Practices
MOVEMENT · EDGES · PLAY
Breath-led flow with clear, precise sequencing. Strength is part of it, and so is exploring where your edges are and how your body moves through space.
STILLNESS · SENSATION · PATIENCE
Long, supported holds that reach the connective tissue. The stillness gives you time to read subtle sensation and notice what's going on underneath.
REST · AWARENESS · NERVOUS SYSTEM
A guided practice of deep, conscious rest, done lying down. Your body relaxes while you stay aware, moving attention through breath, body and sensation. I offer it woven into an asana class or as a session on its own.
Work with me
One-to-one or small-group sessions, shaped around your goals: body awareness, posture and alignment, anatomy-informed technique, mobility and strength, deepening your practice, or recovery.
Nutrition coaching. A full nutrition offer is on its way. Until then, one-to-one nutrition coaching is available on request.
About
I've practised yoga through every stage of my life, in many different bodies, and it has met me in each one. There's no particular body you need for yoga: the practice is shaped to the body you have. It taught me strength and resilience, physically, mentally and spiritually, and I learned all of it by listening to my body.
I came to teaching after over a decade of personal practice and nine years in fast-paced corporate work. That background shows up in how I sequence: everything has a reason. I also leave room in every class to slow down and pay attention.
Body intelligence is the skill of noticing what your body is telling you, from tension and fatigue to the way stress and emotion settle in it. It's understanding what those signals mean, and knowing how to respond: when to rest, and when to meet a challenge. It grows with practice, as a way of befriending your body with curiosity and trust.
In the room

The name
From the Greek en (in) and soma (body). Inside the name sits a second word, ensō, from Zen Buddhism.
The Zen Buddhist circle, drawn in one fluid brushstroke. Left open, it stands for presence, the beauty of imperfection and room to keep growing.
Greek for the body. In somatics, it means the body as you experience it from within. Getting to know your body that way is what every class is about.
